2507 (S3275/32760/1.4410/00Cr25Ni7M04N)

Introduction:
2507 is a well-known super duplex stainless steel, with higher contents of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen than second-generation duplex stainless steels. Its PRE (Pitting Resistance Equivalent) value can reach 42, giving it excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. This steel was first developed by the Swedish company Sandvik and was introduced in 1993.

Applications:
2507 can be manufactured into plates with thicknesses of 5–150 mm, as well as pipes, bars, wires, and strips. It is mainly used for oil and natural gas pipelines, tanks and vessels on offshore chemical transport ships, chemical and petrochemical industries, refineries, and towers, tanks, vessels, and heat exchangers in seawater environments. It can replace high-grade austenitic stainless steels and high-nickel corrosion-resistant alloys.
